Replacing Old Elastic With New in One Step

Removing old tired elastic from garments and replacing it with new does not have to be a multi-step process.  Pin or stitch the end of the new elastic to the end of the old elastic. As you pull the old elastic out, the new elastic is inserted into the casing at the same time.  Snip or unpin the old elastic from the new and enclose the casing.  You're done!

Rubber Band Seam Guide

In place of a magnetized seam guide, place a wide rubber band around the open arm of your sewing machine placing it at your desired seam width.  Fabric runs straight along the band at the proper seam width.
